On leaving school, I trained as a Pharmacy Technician completing a 2-year apprenticeship with Boots the Chemist and later worked in a
hospital Pharmacy manufacturing unit. After my marriage, jobs varied to fit in with my husbands movements and raising two children, but
they were always associated with the medical or scientific disciplines.
Because of treatment for cancer, I developed secondary lymphoedema. I was fortunate enough to be treated by a specialist lymphoedema nurse who used The Bowen Technique as part of the treatment. This was so successful that I was intrigued to find out more about how this light
touch, non-manipulative, holistic therapy could bring about a deep sense of relaxation, well-being and healing which had such a profound effect on me. I then decided to embark on a training course to become a Bowen therapist myself. Having successfully completed the course and
passed the examinations with the ECBS. I am now an full member of BTER (www.bter.org). Knowledge is updated regularly by attending
workshop groups. I run a small clinic from my home at Barham near Canterbury, offering calm and comfortable surroundings to my clients.
